Artisan Pizza Dough

Every kid loves pizza and it’s super easy to make from scratch. LittleChef2 is our resident pizza expert. He has mastered the homemade dough and branched out into creating his own spin on different pizzas. His last creation was cheese stuffed crusts. His brothers thanked him greatly for it!  They even offered to buy him a Sonic milkshake for his tasty efforts.  Gotta love boys, everything is related to their stomachs!

LittleChefTip: Tear off little pieces of dough and let each kid make their very own little pizza.  They love to play with their food 🙂

Serves: 2 crusts

  • 5 cups bread flour
  • 1 TBLS sugar (or honey)
  • 2½ tsp coarse kosher salt OR 1½ tsp table salt
  • 1 tsp yeast

Lightly grease bowl with oil. Form dough into smooth bowl and turn. Cover with clean kitchen towel. Let dough stand 30 minutes. (Can refrigerate overnight, or up to 3 days).
  3. Bake at 425° in pre-heated oven.
  4. *for extra crispy crust: bake crust without toppings till lightly browned; add toppings and cheese and bake till bubbly and crust is golden brown.
