One Pot Easy Cheesy Garlic Buttered Noodles is a super quick side dish that is done in less than 15 minutes!

I’ve been making these amazing noodles for decades now!  They’re affectionately known in our household just as “the noodles”.  These are hands down my kids most favorite pasta dish!  I love it because it’s so quick and easy!

They pair well just about anything! We love them the most with seasoned chicken, and mashed potatoes.  You can even add some peas to the dish to make it healthier!

What you’ll need to make Cheesy Garlic Buttered Noodles:

  • butter
  • milk
  •  garlic salt
  •  Parmesan Cheese
  •  dry egg noodles

How to make One Pot Easy Cheesy Garlic Buttered Noodles:

  • Cook noodles according to manufacturers directions:
  • When noodles are almost done boiling;
  • Melt butter on low heat,add milk and garlic salt
  • cook till warm; stir in parmesan cheese
  • Do not Boil; Remove from heat
  • Pour over cooked and drained noodles, mix well. Enjoy!

Substitutions and how to make Buttered Noodles Gluten Free:

Obviously the easiest substitution would be to straight up sub out the egg noodles for a gluten free version.  When doing so please note the texture isn’t the same and won’t hold the sauce as well as a regular egg noodle.  Also, I prefer to use the wide, to extra wide egg noodle variety.

Use medium egg noodles if you would like more sauce without doubling the recipe.  The larger/wider the noodle, the more sauce it will soak up!

This recipe also works very well with Rotini pasta.  Basically anything with texture, or a ribbed pasta so the sauce can cling to it.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 stick butter 1/4 cup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese & additional for sprinkling on top before serving
  • 2 heaping cups dry egg noodles
