Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a 2-quart baking dish, place the entire stick of butter.
Put the dish in the preheated oven for 3-5 minutes until the butter is completely melted.
Carefully remove the dish from the oven and add the uncooked rice, stirring to coat all grains or rice with the melted butter.
Pour the French onion soup over the buttered rice and stir gently to combine.
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 45minutes
Remove the foil and bake 15 more minutes, uncovered, until the top is lightly golden and the rice is fully tender.
Let stand covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
Garnish with fresh chives and serve hot.
