In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy, about 2 minutes.

Step 2:
Add powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Beat on low until combined, then increase speed.

Step 3:
Mix in chocolate syrup, cream, vanilla, espresso powder, and salt. Beat until smooth.

Reheating: No heating required,  just bring to room temp before serving again for the best texture.

Freezing: Not recommended, as the texture will change after thawing.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon espresso powder optional
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Assorted dippers strawberries, banana slices, graham crackers, pretzels, etc.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. 8 ounces cream cheese.
  • Add confectioners' sugar and cocoa powder. Beat on low speed until incorporated, then increase to medium speed until smooth. 1/3 cup confectioners’ sugar,1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Add chocolate syrup, heavy cream, vanilla extract, espresso powder (if using), and salt. Beat until well combined and creamy. 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup,2 tablespoons heavy cream,1 teaspoon vanilla extract,1/4 teaspoon espresso powder,1/8 teaspoon salt.
  • Fold in mini chocolate chips with a rubber spatula. 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. If desired, refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm slightly.
  • Serve with assorted fresh fruit for dipping. Assorted dippers
