I love eating blackberry cobbler, blueberry cobbler and peach cobbler, but this easy cherry cobbler recipe may be my most favorite. I don’t use Bisquick often, but it’s probably one of the best things to come out of Betty Crocker kitchens. I primarily use it for cheddar bay biscuits, but it also makes awesome cobbler recipes. You can’t go wrong with using Bisquick for a quick cobbler topping.

You’ll need the following ingredients to make this amazing Cherry Cobbler with Bisquick:

HOW TO MAKE EASY BISQUICK CHERRY COBBLER STEP-BY-STEP

STEP 1: Heat oven to 400°F and grease a 2 quart casserole dish.

STEP 2: In a large bowl, combine the drained cherries,cup sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix well and pour into the prepared baking dish.

STEP 3: Bake the cherry filling in the preheated oven, allowing it to start bubbling and thickening.

STEP 4: While the filling is baking, prepare the drop biscuit topping. In a medium bowl, and combine 1 1/2 cup original Bisquick, melted butter, milk, and ground cinnamon until a soft dough forms.

STEP 5: Remove the baking dish from the oven after 15 minutes. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit mixture evenly over the hot cherry filling. Sprinkle tablespoon sugar over the drop biscuits

STEP 6: Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 18-22 minutes, or until the drop biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

STEP 7: Remove from the oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve with a scoop of ice cream if desired.

For an extra burst of flavor, add a teaspoon of almond extract to the cherry filling mixture.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 14.5 ounce cans Red Tart Cherries in Water drained
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Biscuit Topping:
