Recipe Ingredients
You’ll need the following ingredients to make this amazing Cream Cheese Dip Sausage:
- Breakfast Sausage: I used Jimmy Dean, but any sausage will work.
- Cream Cheese: I prefer to use the full fat variety and bring it to room temperature.
- Velveeta Cheese: It makes the dip super cheesy!
- Rotel: I use Mild, the original Rotel sometimes has a little kick, but use whichever Rotel tomatoes you prefer!
- Heavy Cream
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Italian Seasoning

INGREDIENT NOTES:
- Breakfast Sausage: Adds savory flavor and hearty texture to the dip.
- Cream Cheese: Creates a rich, creamy base for the dip.
- Rotel Tomatoes: Brings a spicy, tangy kick that balances the creamy cheese. I LOVE Rotel! Our Easy Rotel Pasta is another great recipe that uses cans of Rotel.

Check out the quick visual guides below. For full instructions and ingredients, see the printable recipe card at the end.
Step 1: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown sausage until no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess grease for best results.
Step 2: Reduce heat to medium-low. Add cream cheese and Velveeta cheese to the skillet. Stir gently as the cream cheese melts and combines with the browned sausage.
Step 3: Add the entire can of Rotel (including green chiles and juice), heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
Step 4: Simmer the mixture, stirring frequently, until the cheese is fully melted and the dip is hot and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
Step 5: Transfer to a small crock pot to keep warm or serve immediately in a bowl. This creamy dip pairs perfectly with tortilla chips or corn chips.

PRO TIP:
For a spicier version of this creamy sausage dip, use hot pork sausage and a can of spicy Rotel.
