Our one and only time we went to a really nice Italian Restaurant, was to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary.  It was past our actual anniversary, a month or two.  Since we’ve had kids, we’ve never celebrated on our actual anniversary!  That’s okay, no regrets!  You can celebrate any day of the year, right?  My in-laws came in to visit and watched the kids while we went on a date.  That’s something that rarely happened. So what did we do? Well, we went shopping for the kids of course!  I wanted to bring them each back something special.  I don’t remember what we brought them back, it’s been far too many years now, but I sure do remember this little Italian restaurant that used to be in Florence, KY.  Sadly, it’s been out of business for many years now.

They brought us oil to dip our bread in.  Didn’t look too appetizing, not when I had my heart set on lasagna or fettuccine alfredo!  But one dip, and one bite later I was happy as a lark!  I went back for more and my husband loved it too! We may not remember what we did in detail that day, but we both have fond memories of this little Italian restaurant.  It was the one and only time we ate there.

Here is an easy recipe that brings me back that special day!  I created this recipe using Octonuts Almond Oil and a surprising ingredient- Rice Vinegar!  Sometimes the best recipes come from what’s already in your fridge/pantry! I love the taste of rice vinegar and decided to try that, super yum!!

This dipping oil is the best mash up of herbs, garlic, parmesan cheese, almond oil and rice vinegar!  If you have any leftover, just store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Pass the bread please, gluten free for me!!
